The Watsonia Heights FC 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 7th November 2020, starting at 11:30am. The venue will be either Gabonia Avenue Reserve or Elder Street Reserve – depending on lockdown restrictions, Cricket club use, etc. The venue will be finalised the week before the event.
As our club continues to grow and evolve, we are expanding the Executive Committee to cater for our substantial growth. A club the size of ours needs more people to step up and take on a role. Had the 2020 season gone ahead, Watsonia Heights FC would have entered 5 Senior Men’s teams, 2 Senior Women’s teams and 32 junior teams. After the first lockdown, we were still looking to enter 36 senior and junior teams – as most players and teams were still very keen to play.
If you also include Mini-roos, Soccer Mum’s and the new Pescara Football Academy, our community club is easily one of the (if not the) biggest Community Clubs in the Banyule City Council area.
Under Dave Lattanzio’s leadership over the last 2 years, the club itself has evolved into a business. It had too. Our Club needs to continue to provide our Community with the opportunity to play and be involved in the most popular game in the World.
This is your chance to become involved. All Executive Committee positions are up for either re-election or for a new person to come in do their part. In the structure below all the Executive positions are marked in blue. Each position should be held for 2 years.

There are also some paid positions (marked in yellow) available. If you are interested in these roles – please contact a member of the Executive Committee. We are looking to have these roles filled before the end of November 2020. The new Executive Committee (formed after the AGM) will interview all applicants and finalise these positions.
General Committee positions will be defined and shared prior to the AGM.
It is the preference of the Executive Committee that each role is designated to one person. We’d rather have one role being performed well by one person. This also helps spread the load and responsibility across the whole Committee.
We will be celebrating our 50 years in 2021, all functions that were planned for this year – will now be postponed until 2021. If you’d like to be involved in organising the 50-year celebrations – please let us know.
