Under 17 Boys

I have been involved at the club in some capacity since 2013 when my son Alex started playing at WHFC.

 

Prior to taking over U14 boys coaching role in 2019, I was previously involved as Team Manager and Assistant Coach over a number of years working closely with 3 fantastic but all very different junior coaches (Roland Beerling,  Ash Reddy and Kev Charlton) where I gained valuable insight and knowledge of the game and coaching from each of them having come more from AFL background myself where my dad was a successful coach.

 

A real highlight for me was being part of the coaching team (co-coach with Rob Kozul) of the WHFC Cultural Exchange Program wherein the club took a combined group of U13 and U14 boys to Abruzzo region in Italy to attend Pescara Calcio Football Academy , training session with their coaches and played a friendly against their academy side.

We also participated in a tournament vs some of the local Italian teams and finished Runners Up ..awesome experience!

This year along with Andrew Rassias as my assistant coach / team manager we take on the challenge of coaching and mentoring the U17 A grade team.

 

Great bunch of lads to coach, very tight and competitive group and so far stepping up to challenge of playing higher level (and age for half of them).

 

My main aim this season as coach is to continue to develop them not only as a footballer and but more importantly as a person.
